Senior Associate
Mr. Neal represents business clients in a wide array of complex litigation. His practice is based on trial work in connection with complex commercial disputes, with a focus on construction and media law litigation, as well as "bad-faith" insurance defense. Mr. Neal has a sizable amount of first-chair experience on a wide range of subject matters, and he also has experience litigating matters on appeal before the highest courts in the State of Tennessee. Mr. Neal strives to deliver effective and vigorous advocacy that meets his clients' commercial goals in disputes.
Mr. Neal graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 2002 and from Birmingham-Southern College in 1998, where he majored in history. Prior to law school, Mr. Neal graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1999, where he received a master's degree for his studies in history.
Mr. Neal is a member of the Firm's Training and Development Committee, and he is actively involved in the Firm's recruiting efforts.
Mr. Neal is very active in his community. He has served on the Board of Young Lawyers Division of the Nashville Bar Association for the past five (5) years. During that time, he has served as chair or co-chair of the Wills Project (devoted to providing estate-planning tools to those in need); the Law Week Competition (an art and essay competition available to all local students); and the Davidson County Mock Trial competition. Mr. Neal is also a member of the Green Hills Rotary Club.
