Frost Brown Todd LLC is seeking an International Trade Specialist for our Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky office. The individual in this role will assist attorneys engaged in transactions involving China and other foreign countries. The duties involve assisting with International Trade Compliance issues, such as NAFTA; preferential treatment analysis; country of origin labeling and duty drawback procedures; tariff schedules; and export licensing and regulatory agency policies and procedures. The individual will also be expected to advise U.S. clients investing in China, including China’s import procedures and tax issues, as well as advise Chinese companies interested in investing in the U.S. The individual will also draft client advisories on various business and regulatory issues; translate and interpret Chinese documents; and, assist in the preparation of documents for the firm and our clients that are to be filed in foreign countries.
The minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. The individual should also have the ability to speak and read Chinese. Hours 8:30-5:00.
