Project Management
Contributing to our Clients’ Success
The business of law has evolved and so have we. Not only is it important to obtain a favorable outcome for the client, but to do so in a way that optimizes transparency, efficiency and cost predictability. We understand your business operates within a budget, adheres to deadlines, and drives profit margin through efficiency. To help you obtain these objectives, Frost Brown Todd implemented a formal project management strategy to streamline our clients’ matters, projects and cases.
To accelerate the adoption process, FBT hired a Project Management Specialist who is a certified project manager (PMP), the most important industry-recognized project management certification in business today. This individual works in conjunction with our attorneys and practice groups to manage and streamline client budgets and workflow.
Through Frost Brown Todd’s project management program, the firm enhances client satisfaction, drives internal workflow efficiencies, and manages costs. The program involves maximizing the firm’s investments in technology and attorney training to help drive client satisfaction through increased cost predictability, transparency, responsiveness, communication and workflow efficiency.
Our experience in managing legal matters using this discipline provides clients of the firm with attorneys that will work with you to properly scope the legal case, identify risks upfront, then quantify and mitigate them as they occur, and manage the overall matter to an agreed upon budget.
A recent example of using this approach was in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group, where one attorney identified an opportunity to handle all Mortgage Foreclosures, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcies in a geographic region for one of the firm’s large financial institution clients on a flat fee basis. The team analyzed historical data using standard project management estimating tools and techniques to arrive at a flat fee for each type of legal matter. In addition, the team analyzed each member’s role to develop an efficient workflow process that provides the client the desired outcome in a cost-effective manner, yet maintains existing levels of service. A win/win outcome for both the client and the firm.
