Deborah S. Adams, a member of Frost Brown Todd LLC, was recently inducted as a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers (College). The College honors those professionals whose sustained performance in the practice of their profession exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism and achievement by granting them membership as Fellows.
Membership is by nomination only, limited to those who have met the following qualifications for a period of not less than twenty years: the highest professional qualifications and ethical standards based on the College's acclaimed Principles of Civility and Professionalism; the highest level of character, integrity, professional expertise and leadership; a commitment to fostering and furthering the objectives of the College; sustained, exceptionally high-quality services to clients, bar, bench and public; and significant evidence of scholarship, teaching, lecturing and/or published writings on Labor and Employment Law.
The College began as a non-profit professional association honoring the leading lawyers nationwide in the practice of Labor and Employment Law. It has now evolved to become an intellectual and practical resource for the support of the profession and its many audiences. The primary purpose of the College is recognition of individuals, sharing knowledge and delivering value to the many different groups who can benefit from its value model.
Ms. Adams represents management in the areas of employment discrimination and wrongful discharge. She has successfully represented companies defending against class and collective actions alleging employment discrimination, including class actions under the FMLA and collective actions under the EPA. Her practice is devoted not only to defending companies in litigation but also to developing litigation-prevention strategies through advice and counsel and in-house training programs.
