Frost Brown Todd Strengthens Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice in Nashville with the Addition of Robert (Bobby) A. Guy Jr.

December 1, 2009 (Nashville, TN) – Frost Brown Todd is pleased to announce that Mr. Robert (Bobby) A. Guy Jr. has joined the firm effective December 1st.  Guy will be working in the Nashville office and practices in the areas of business bankruptcy, workouts and distressed acquisitions with a focus in representing debtors and committees.  “We are very excited to have Bobby join our team.  By joining FBT, Bobby will have a platform that meets the needs of his national and regional clients. His decision to join the firm strengthens our capabilities to provide bankruptcy and restructuring services to our current client base,” said Doug Lutz, member and co-chair of Frost Brown Todd’s national bankruptcy and restructuring group.

Guy has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for his experience in bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights law. He has served as debtors’ counsel in the Chapter 11 filings of numerous affiliates of the fourth-largest senior living company in the United States, and as counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 proceedings of Imagepoint.  His work for private equity funds spans the country, and recent engagements include representation of buyers in the bankruptcies of New Day Pharmacy, Santa Fe Cattle Company Restaurants, Brotman Medical Center, Nationwide Beverage Bottling Company, and S&B Surgery Center. 

Mr. Guy is board certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification, and has numerous years of experience handling healthcare insolvencies.  He is on the leadership team for the American Bankruptcy Institute Healthcare Committee, and has recent articles on healthcare and insolvency published in The Deal, Healthleaders, The Distressed Debt Report, The Journal of Corporate Renewal, Mergers & Acquisitions, and HFM.
