Hugh Reynolds has been actively engaged in litigation, arbitration and mediation in the areas of fidelity and surety, construction law, product liability and commercial disputes for over 50 years. During that time, he has built a reputation for extraordinary talent in client work and leadership within the legal profession. Mr. Reynolds is actively engaged in arbitration and mediation. He is on both the Construction and the Commercial Arbitration Panels for the American Arbitration Association. Often recognized for his achievements, Mr. Reynolds has received many awards and other recognition. His body of work includes:

  • Liaison from the ABA to the Drafting Committees for the Model Code on Punitive Damages and for Revision of the Uniform Statutory Construction Act by the National Commissioners on Uniform State Laws
  • Member of the Drafting Committee revising the American Law Institute's Restatement of the Law of Suretyship
  • Participated in the deliberations of the Drafting Committee for the Amendment of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code as that Article relates to secured transactions involving commercial tort claims as security
  • 7th Circuit representative to the Standing Committee on Federal Judiciary of the American Bar Association
  • Chair of ABA/TIPS Intersectional Task Force on Initiatives & Referenda
  • Member of Commercial Law Project for Ukraine
