Mr. Cooney practices in the corporate area and represents clients in a wide array of corporate and financial matters with particular emphasis on general corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions and securities law issues. He has represented public and private companies in federal and state securities law matters, including equity financing of start-up companies, and merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions. He has been involved in various roles in New Markets Tax Credits transacations and public finance transactions. He also represent insurance companiesin connection with the registration and sale of variable insurance products.
