Recognized for their focus on client service, Chambers and Partners has named 47 of Frost Brown Todd’s attorneys and 16 Practice Areas in the 2006 Edition of Chambers USA, a publication ranking attorneys and their practices based upon peer and client review.

Chambers USA recognized the Kentucky and Ohio office’s Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group, along with several attorneys in this category including Co-managing member, C. Edward Glasscock, who was named by clients as “one of the most influential attorneys in Kentucky.” Others included were David Beckman, Scott Dolson, James Giesel, Jeff Hallos, Charles Keeton, Alan MacDonald, R. James Straus, William Strench, and Bryan Mattingly.

Highly ranked was Ohio’s Intellectual Property department, with attorneys including: Joseph Dreitler, Steven Goldstein, David Schmit, Karlyn Schnapp   and Stephen Albainy-Jenei.

“A great firm to do business with,” said clients of Frost Brown Todd’s Kentucky Labor & Employment Practice Group.  The ranking was driven by lawyers such as James Cockrum, Tony Coleman, Laurence Woods, John Lovett,  and Pat Pelfrey. “Knowledgeable and helpful attorneys, who provide realistic business solutions,” is how clients described the Ohio Employment group, and ranked attorneys Deborah Adams, James Lawrence, George Yund, and Robert Dimling.

Clients have “total confidence” in Ronald Gold and the Bankruptcy/Restructuring  Practice Group, saying that “it’s so rare that you find someone who will make themselves available 24/7 and update you on everything.” From retirement, health and welfare plans to ESOPs, life insurance plans and COBRA compliance, Ohio’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation group and Chambers-ranked attorney John Appel offer “the works.”

Endorsing the Environment, Natural Resources & Regulated Industries’ environmental cleanup expertise and fluid multidisciplinary resources, clients note Warren Hoffmann and the Lexington, KY office’s strong niche in the coal and utility industry,  and cite Louisville attorney Dennis Conniff’s experience  in transactional and contentious environmental matters.

Claiming the Ohio-based Construction group as “exceptionally proactive” for general contractors and subcontractors, clients highly ranked Cincinnati attorney, D. Scott Gurney. Particularly pronounced in joint ventures and healthcare, Ohio’s Banking & Finance group was ranked highly, along with attorney Jeffery Rush.

Recognized as a regional “heavyweight”, clients said the "strong and broad-based” Litigation: General Commercial Group is “at home on sizable and complex deals.” Chambers ranked Louisville attorneys Charles Cassis, Carl Henlein, David Kaplan, Winston Miller and Sheryl Snyder.

Attorneys in both the Ohio and Kentucky Real Estate group received abundant praise from clients who observed that “all our needs are met – it’s just not necessary to look elsewhere.” Meeting those needs are attorneys John Cadwallader, E. Richard Oberschmidt, and W. Russell Wilson in Ohio; and citing a $45 million facility relocation completed by the Kentucky team, clients said this group has "the full suite – you can take anything to them." Ranked in this year’s directory include lawyers Marshall Eldred, Dale Ahearn, Jude Clark, and Timothy Martin.

When ranking the Environmental group, clients asserted that “for a comprehensive, tricky job, they’re fantastic,” and that the attorneys are “meticulously thorough and analytical.”  Paul Casper is highly ranked along with Cincinnati-based attorneys Terrence Fay, Stephen Haughey, Kevin McMurray, and Christopher Habel.
