Forcht Bank plans to add branches here, hire more employees

In a time when some local banks are clos­ing branches or looking to other cities for growth opportunities, one of Louisville's smallest banks has chosen another path. Lexington-based Forcht Bank NA, which has four banking centers in Louisville, is looking at vacant bank buildings with an eye to open at least one new branch by the end of the year and as many as four more in 2013, said Jason Stuecker, who was named the bank's Louisville market president in April.

The bank now has about 30 local employees,not including the dozen in its mortgage lending division stationed at its Jeffersontown branch. Click here to read full article.
