Deal of the decade: Breaking down GE at the Banks

General Electric selected the Banks for its U.S. global operations center, which will be home to 1,800 employees, 300 of which will be new jobs.

The Banks master developer Carter Dawson is building a $90 million, 340,000-square-foot office building for GE. The 10-story, LEED-certified office tower will be located just west of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Phase II of the development. Construction is scheduled to start this summer, with the building expected to be completed by summer 2016.
