Louisville business leaders reflect on life of Metro Council president Jim King
Just last Friday, Jim King was teleconferencing into a meeting of the Louisville Arena Authority's finance committee, said Ed Glasscock, an attorney with Frost Brown Todd LLC and prominent Louisville developer.
"He made sure he called in and participated. That is how dedicated Jim King was," Glasscock said.
King, who dies last Wednesday evening, served on the Louisville Metro Council since 2004 and recently was elected president of the council for a fifth term. He had been battling an undisclosed illness but was still making efforts to fulfill his civic duties, said Glasscock, who was audibly upset by the news.
