Complex money deals spawned Liberty Center

Liberty Center supporters call the $350 million project "game changing" for what it provides shoppers and visitors.

But it is the first project of its type in Ohio on a different front - how improvements to the roads, sewers and parking garages have been funded.

“It’s rather novel,” said Kip Wahlers, a lawyer at Ice Miller in Columbus, describing what's happening at Liberty Center. “This came about as people who cared about development in Ohio started looking at the tools we had to do economic development.”
