The Banks gets more parking, street extension

The Banks has 710 more parking spaces and a new street extension after the completion of a $29.3 million project.

The city of Cincinnati, Hamilton County and JobsOhio paid to build the new infrastructure at the Downtown riverfront development in an effort to prepare the site for private sector investment.

The two-level parking addition and one-block extension of Race Street at "Lot 24" brings the block above the 500-year Ohio River flood plain, extends the existing Central Riverfront Garage and creates a "podium" for new construction.
