The 500-lawyer firm Frost Brown Todd says that it will now accept payment for services with bitcoins. “Our clients are excited that we are willing to adapt with them,” says the co-chair of the firm’s Blockchain and Digital Currency practice group, in an announcement on the firm’s website. One of the firm’s attorneys, in a recent article in the Indiana Lawyer,  gives a technical explanation of the technology and makes a case for it adoption. “Bitcoin tokens are an alternative to traditional fiat currency issued by central authorities and governments. They are faster and impose fewer fees than usual ACH bank transfers or credit card payments, especially on international transactions,” he writes.” He says that today there are more than 1,000 “cryptocurrencies,” Bitcoin being just one of them, and they have a total market cap of nearly $100 billion.
