Frost Brown Todd Attorneys Raise the Bar
Frost Brown Todd LLC, one of the region’s largest full-service law firms, is pleased to announce that it’s own Jeffrey S. Shoskin was sworn in as president of the Cincinnati Bar Association during their annual luncheon today. In addition to the presidency, two other FBT attorneys assumed leadership positions, Philip J. Schworer as president-elect and Richard M. Goehler as a trustee.
Jeffrey S. Shoskin, an attorney in the Firm’s Labor & Employment department, represents management in all aspects of private and public sector employment and labor relations matters. He has served as lead counsel in state and federal court litigation, as well as before various state and federal administrative agencies and boards. He also has represented clients in collective bargaining negotiations, union campaigns, and arbitration proceedings. Jeffrey is listed as an Ohio Super Lawyer, was a member of the inaugural class of Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers and has been elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
Philip J. Schworer, an attorney in the Firm’s Environmental department, represents business and industry in all aspects of environmental, health & safety, and toxic tort issues. Phil’s practice involves matters ranging from environmental litigation and due diligence to negotiations and corporate compliance. Phil is President-Elect of the Leadership Cincinnati Alumni Association and also serves on the board of the Redwood Rehabilitation Center and on the Planning Committee for the Just The Beginning Foundation conference for African American Federal judges throughout the U.S. He has been recognized by his peers as a Best Lawyer in America, and is listed as an Ohio Super Lawyer and Ohio Leading Lawyer.
Richard M. Goehler is an attorney in the Firm’s First Amendment, Media and Advertising Law practice a member of the Firm's Executive Committee. He represents media clients in all aspects of First Amendment and newsroom-related matters, including prebroadcast / prepublication review, defense of defamation and privacy claims, and access and freedom of information matters. Dick is currently the Chair of the American Bar Association Forum on Communications Law. He sits on the boards of the Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Student Press Law Center, the Advertising Club of Cincinnati, and the Ruth Lyons Foundation. He is also listed as an Ohio Super Lawyer.
