Member-in-Charge of Nashville Office, Mekesha H. Montgomery Recognized in Nashville Business Journal’s Women of Influence

Frost Brown Todd is pleased to announce Mekesha H. Montgomery was recently recognized in the Nashville Business Journal’s Women of Influence in the Company Executive category. She joined thirty other women who were recognized for making an impact in Nashville. The honorees were recognized during a luncheon on February 9th at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel.

The Nashville Business Journal’s Women of Influence awards program has been recognizing influential and powerful women in Middle Tennessee for more than five years. The women awarded in this program have been recognized as impressive role models of women in business. Our community success has depended on this tradition and the growing strength of our business women. This year’s group of honorees were nominated by their peers and reviewed by a six-person panel of judges as deserving recognition for their leadership and contributions to the community.

Montgomery is member-in-charge of the firm’s Nashville office and practices in the labor and employment practice group. She represents management in the areas of employment discrimination and wrongful discharge. She has successfully represented companies defending against class and collective actions alleging employment discrimination and wage and hour violations, including class actions under the FMLA and collective actions under the FLSA.  She has also successfully obtained temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions enforcing covenants not to compete and successfully defended employers against allegations of violations of covenants not to compete.
