Frost Brown Todd Member Heather L. Wilson Receives Indiana Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year Award
Heather L. Wilson, Frost Brown Todd Member in Indianapolis, has received the Indiana Chamber of Commerce 2014 Volunteer of the Year award. At the annual awards luncheon Wilson was recognized for her passion and energy in making an impact for the Indiana business community through her volunteer efforts. She has chaired the Indiana Chamber’s Civil Justice Committee and helped expand the organization’s annual Human Resources Conference for the past eight years. “I have a passion for helping employers and businesses – that’s what I love to do. I want businesses to understand what their obligations are from a legal standpoint,” she says.
Wilson is a member of Frost Brown Todd’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. She focuses her practice in the areas of employment litigation and general business counseling, including advising employers on litigation avoidance. She also provides training programs for human resource personnel on a wide range of employment-related legal topics. Indianapolis is home to more than 80 of Frost Brown Todd’s legal professionals and led by Member-in-Charge Nelson Alexander. The attorneys and staff are active supporters and volunteers in the community and involved in both civic and professional organizations throughout the city.
Additional honorees of the 2014 Samuel C. Scholler Volunteer of the Year award are Phil Bounsall, president of Walker (Indianapolis) and Jill Ritchie, vice president and general counsel of Indiana Beverage (Valparaiso).
