Frost Brown Todd Attorney Appointed to Middletown City Council

June 3, 2010

Thomas B. Allen, a partner at Frost Brown Todd, was appointed to 1st Ward Seat of Middletown City Council yesterday. Having worked closely with municipalities as a lawyer with Frost Brown Todd, Mr. Allen will draw on that experience to serve Middletown.

“We’re excited to see Tom’s appointment to Middletown City Council,” says member-in-charge of Frost Brown Todd’s West Chester office, Scott D. Phillips, “with a strong municipal law practice here in our West Chester office, this position will provide Tom with unique understanding of the challenges faced by our clients.”

Settled by Daniel Doty in 1791, Middletown was incorporated in 1833 and has operated under a Home Rule city charter since 1913. The city is governed by a seven-member City Council, a directly elected Mayor, two members elected "at large" and four elected "by ward." The Council meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month. Council meetings begin at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers of the City Building's Lower Level.
