Joy is a senior associate in the labor & employment department of Frost Brown Todd LLC. She advises clients regarding compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws, and represents clients on a wide variety of labor and employment issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Joy worked as a summer associate for Greenberg Glusker in Los Angeles, California.
Experience
Successfully defended employer in jury trial involving disability discrimination and promissory estoppel claims.
Obtained no probable cause rulings in EEOC Charges alleging national origin, race discrimination, age discrimination, disability discrimination, sex discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
Successfully represented employers in unemployment hearings and succesfully defended denial of unemployment benefits on appeal.
Researched and drafted successful summary judgment motion for employer in case alleging sex and race discrimination, harassment, retaliation, negligent supervision and negligent retention.
Researched and drafted successful summary judgment motion for employer in case alleging age and sex discrimination.
Researched and drafted successful motion to dismiss for employer in lawsuit alleging failure to warn, negligent representation, negligent performance of undertaking to render services, and negligent intentional prevention of assistance.
