He is past Chairman of the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Construction Law Committee, is a past member of the Board of Directors of Allied Construction Industries (AGC-Cincinnati), and is on AGC of Ohio's Legislative Committee.

Scott is an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association's Construction Industry panel.
