Alan is a member of Frost Brown Todd LLC located in the firm’s Lexington office. Alan joined the firm in August 1989, and practices in the firm’s business department. Alan has extensive experience in all phases of transactions, including negotiating, structuring and documenting transactions. Alan also represents clients in like-kind exchange and tax-deferred transactions on a regular basis and has capability to coordinate and document exchange and assignment agreements with qualified intermediaries. Alan also has significant experience in various financing matters including leveraged (asset-based) buy-outs, private equity, mezzanine, convertible and traditional financing vehicles.  Alan's experience also includes representing horse farm owners and breeders in a variety of transactions, including financing, syndication, purchases and sales.

Alan’s career experience includes a cooperative placement during 2007-08 within a firm client as General Counsel, during which period Alan helped guide the client through a series of acquisitions and financing transactions. In addition to transactional experience, Alan also oversaw compliance programs and handled or outsourced labor and employment, immigration, OSHA and employee benefit issues. Through the experience, Alan developed a unique client perspective of the legal function associated with negotiating and closing transactions and managing operations.

Since returning to the firm, Alan continues to apply his unique perspective and expertise in transactional and operational matters.
