Barry currently serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. He is the former Practice Group Leader of the Commercial Real Estate Lending and Servicing practice group. His practice is heavily concentrated in representing lenders and servicers in connection with commercial real estate transactions. His clients include CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, bridge lenders and mezzanine lenders that originate commercial mortgage loans nationwide, as well as master and special servicers.
Barry is president of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, a member of the Board of Governors and is a former chair of the Capital Markets and Real Estate Finance Committee.ย Barry is also a frequent speaker and author on topics related to commercial real estate finance. He is listed in the Best Lawyers in Americaยฉ (2006-2023)ย and is AVยฎ Pre-eminent rated in Martindale-Hubbellยฎ.ย ย He is also listed in Chambers USAยฎ, Americaโs Leading Lawyers for Business (2003-2023), where he was recognized as โโฆ a brilliantly able attorney with a phenomenal legal mindโ and โHe is great to work with โ eminently practical and reasonable.โ
