Carl W. Butler
Carl concentrates his practice in business and product liability litigation. He has experience representing companies in complex commercial actions, including advising and defending banking and financial institutions regarding predatory lending and consumer protection issues. He also has experience defending automobile and other product manufacturers in product defect cases. Carl also handles appeals for individuals and corporate clients in a variety of practice areas. Before entering into private practice, Carl served as a law clerk to the Honorable Frank Sullivan, Jr., of the Indiana Supreme Court.
Experience
- Experience defending financial institutions in predatory lending and consumer protection disputes.
- Extensive experience bringing and defending contract actions on behalf of companies.
- Experience representing individual in municipal zoning dispute at summary judgment stage, as well as on appeal to the Indiana Court of Appeals and Indiana Supreme Court.
- Experience defending automobile manufacturer in worker’s compensation dispute at summary judgment stage, as well as on appeal to the Indiana Court of Appeals.
