Charles G. Bradley
Charlie works to assist employers with all manner of labor relations and employee relations issues, including litigation.
In his labor relations practice, Charlie focuses on working with employers to manage union relationships with an emphasis on achieving employer goals with minimum disruption to the workplace. For almost a decade, Charlie has worked with employers on union avoidance training, contract negotiations, arbitrations, defense of charges before the National Labor Relations Board, and general contract interpretation and management.
With respect to employee relations, Charlie works with employers on drafting and implementing lawful policies and procedures in an ever-shifting legal environment, managing the day-to-day employer-employee relationship, and identifying potential trouble spots for employers in their relationship with employees, all with the goal of avoiding litigation. When litigation cannot be avoided, Charlie assists employers in aggressively defending lawsuits in a cost-effective and common-sense manner, exploring all options for defense and counseling employers on the best course of action.
Directed labor relations strategy and acted as lead negotiator for a large health care employer with multiple collective bargaining agreements with various unions in the U.S. and Canada.
Worked with employers to defend employment discrimination suits in state and federal courts.
Represented employers before administrative agencies including the EEOC and NLRB.
Worked with employers in grievance arbitrations before AAA and FMCS arbitrators.
Teamed with company HR leadership and in-house counsel to advise employers on union and employment-related issues prior to litigation.
