Daniel is a member in Frost Brown Todd’s Regional State Tax and Incentives Team. Daniel has a great deal of experience and expertise in various Federal, State and local tax planning, controversy and incentives matters, including property tax, sales and use tax (particularly in the manufacturing, mining, recycling and metal industries), tobacco, alcohol and other excise tax, income tax and local occupational license and business tax. Daniel has also represented a variety of corporate and individual clients in Federal tax controversy and collection matters, including captive insurance tax issues.

Prior to his legal career, Daniel worked for the Kentucky Senate President's Office during multiple legislative sessions, where he gained experience in the legislative process and the political landscape in Frankfort.

Daniel has quickly risen to obtain a prominent leadership role throughout the Bar and the community. He currently serves on multiple national and local professional, industry and community boards and organizations, including the Independent SALT Alliance (ISA), Greater Louisville Inc.'s (GLI) Business Competitiveness Committee and GLI's Tax Reform Task Force, to name a few. Previously, he served as the Chairman for both the Kentucky Bar Association (KBA) and the Louisville Bar Association’s (LBA) Tax Sections, the Vice Chairman and Chair-Elect of these Tax Sections, as well as General Counsel and Secretary of the Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) and its charitable arm YPAL Cares, Inc. He also helped found a local giving circle, [give 502].
