Debra C. Roberts
Debra is a paralegal in the personal and succession planning practice group in Frost Brown Todd's Cincinnati Office. She is experienced in all aspects of corporate-related matters, including formation of business entities and mergers and acquisitions. Debra assists in drafting simple wills and trusts and asset titling of real and personal property.
Prior to joining the firm, Debra was a corporate/estate planning paralegal in Greenebaum Doll & McDonald's Cincinnati office. During her time with the firm, she was responsible for assisting in the formation of business entities and foreign qualifications in various states; organization and updating of minute books; preparation of annual board of director and shareholder resolutions; preparation of stock certificates; and Internal Revenue Service filings for employer identification numbers and s-corporations. Her estate planning responsibilities included assisting with drafting of simple wills and trusts agreements; preparation of deeds and memoranda of trust; assisting clients with asset tilting of cash and securities accounts and change of beneficiary forms for retirement accounts and life insurance policies. Debra assisted with all aspects of merger and acquisition transaction including due diligence, UCC filings and research, preparation of resolutions, officer certificates and closing binders. She also has experience in securities filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In addition to her corporate and estate planning experience, she has project experience in asbestos and talc-related litigation including bulk review of company documents for discovery requests; review and analysis of company documents using Summation and Access databases; and research and analysis of asbestos-related articles and reports. She has maintained statutory agent databases.
