James represents entrepreneurs, business owners, investors and businesses in the operation and financing of business endeavors. His particular focus involves structuring, documenting and negotiating mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and real estate acquisitions and developments.

Experience

Recent transactions include the representation of a (i) publicly traded corporation in connection with the acquisition of the assets of a privately held corporation, (ii) national restaurant chain in connection with the acquisition of a real estate site from multiple parcel owners and the contemporaneous sale of a portion of the site to a publicly traded drugstore chain, (iii) regional data center in structuring a partnership with a national developer for the acquisition of a vacant consumer mall for conversion into a data center, and (iv) publicly traded financial institution in the extension of credit facilities.
