James D. Cockrum
James represents a wide range of large and small employers in manufacturing and service related industries. His practice focuses on working with employers to develop and implement policies and procedures which prevent employment practices liabilities (including wage and hour matters, discrimination, wrongful discharge and sexual harassment), and defending employers faced with employment practices lawsuits.
James also advises non-unionized employers in their efforts to remain "union free" and win union election campaigns. He represents employers in unfair labor practice proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and assists unionized employers in collective bargaining, the administration of their collective bargaining agreements, mediation and arbitration of grievances and maintaining effective and efficient relationships with unionized workforces.
James has been honored to be selected for inclusion in Outstanding Lawyer of America and in Chambers & Partners® "America's Leading Business Lawyers."
