Katharine A. Gilbert
Katie is a member of the firm’s Electronic Data Discovery (“EDD”) Group. Her experience with the Group has included research and the review, analysis and production of documents and electronically-stored information (“ESI”) in a variety of contexts. Before joining the EDD Group, Katie served as a staff attorney for six years in Jefferson Circuit Court of Louisville, Kentucky. There, she researched and analyzed procedural and evidentiary issues including dispositive motions in both civil and criminal matters, and the analysis & preparation of draft opinions. Katie also previously worked for firms in Washington, D.C., performing document review in complex business litigation such as federal accounting standards, antitrust issues, and the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statute.
Katie has worked on more than a dozen client matters in the EDD Group, including search, review and analysis for legal proceedings involving investor/shareholder disputes, product liability and civil rights litigation. Katie has also performed research, review and analysis for records retention and compliance projects in the Group.
