Paula L. Peters
Paula has been associated with Frost Brown Todd LLC since 1993, having rejoined the firm in 1999. Paula entered the legal profession in 1973 and began her paralegal career 1984 in St. Louis, Missouri, where she practiced in the area of corporate and general law.
Paula currently concentrates her practice in lending and commercial services to include bonds and public finance, with a secondary concentrations in capital transactions and governance and real estate. She is certified in four areas of law (contracts, corporate, litigation, and real estate), having received her certification in 1992 from the National Association of Legal Assistants.
She is the past President and Treasurer of the Louisville Association of Paralegals and currently sits on its Board of Directors and the Executive Advisory Committee. She is the current Treasurer for the Kentucky Paralegal Association. In addition, Paula serves as a member of the Kentucky Paralegal Association/Louisville Association of Paralegals Liaison Committee.
Experience
Paula has 36-plus years of experience, and currently provides assistance on Uniform Commercial Code issues and a variety of multi-million dollar transactions encompassing local and state government bond issues, tax increment financing, bank qualified, 501(c)(3) non-profit entities, and school, water and sewer districts.
Paula also has an extensive background in medical malpractice and insurance defense law, mechanic’s lien law, bankruptcy, collections, corporate formations, organization and ongoing business services.
