More Health Care Reform Guidance Issued
Government agencies are quickly issuing guidance on the Patient Protection And Affordable Care Act (“PPACA”). The first significant guidance addressed what is required for a health plan to remain “grandfathered.” More recently, Interim Final Regulations were issued on four other aspects of PPACA that employers will be required to implement in their plan’s plan year beginning after September 23, 2010—the coverage to age 26 mandate, restrictions on rescissions and annual benefit limits, no-cost preventive services, and required changes to the claims adjudication process.
