Scott D. Phillips Named Member-in-Charge at Frost Brown Todd

CINCINNATI – March 23, 2009 – Frost Brown Todd has named land use, zoning and real estate litigation attorney, Scott D. Phillips, Member-in-Charge of its new West Chester office in the fast growing suburb of Cincinnati.
Mr. Phillips will assume his new role immediately, and will work closely with the Firm’s Chairman, John Crockett of Louisville, and Managing Member George E. Yund, who is based in Cincinnati. As Member-in-Charge, Mr. Phillips will be responsible for client development initiatives, civic and charitable involvement, and community outreach in West Chester and neighboring communities, where the Firm has a significant presence.
“West Chester has seen tremendous growth over the past 20 years and we see an increasing need to service our clients who are located along the I-75 corridor from a location that is convenient for them,” Phillips said, “Frost Brown Todd’s West Chester office is the first full-service law office established in Butler County and illustrates the Firm’s commitment to our clients.”
Mr. Phillips is a long-time resident of the West Chester community and has been involved in a wide variety of activities for years including his current position as Chair of the West Chester Township Zoning Commission. Of Phillips’ appointment, Crockett said, “We appreciate Scott accepting this important new role in addition to his significant practice responsibilities. West Chester presents some real opportunities for the Firm, and we are thrilled to have Scott on the point for our initiatives in this market.” Mr. Phillips also serves as Law Director for Liberty Township, Ohio.
Mr. Phillips came to Frost Brown Todd 16 years ago and has been instrumental in developing the Firm’s land use, zoning and real estate practice. He also represents clients with construction, general business and commercial disputes. Mr. Phillips graduated with Honors from the American University Washington College of Law after earning his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University. He is admitted to practice in Ohio.
