Sheryl Snyder represents businesses in complex litigation. He has litigated several significant antitrust, securities, RICO, contract, fraud, trademark, copyright and trade secrets cases for a variety of businesses.

Mr. Snyder is also "the state's premier appellate lawyer" according to Chambers USA®. Mr. Snyder has made the appellate oral argument in more than 50 reported decisions, including the Oklahoma City bombing civil litigation. He has argued in the Third, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh, Tenth and Eleventh Circuits, and is a Life Member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference.

Mr. Snyder is co-author (with 2 FBT colleagues) of the treatise Kentucky Appellate Practice (West). He is often engaged after an adverse jury verdict to candidly assess the prospects on appeal and negotiate a settlement.  

Mr. Snyder has also represented six Governors of Kentucky, of both political parties, in significant constitutional litigation involving the separation of governmental powers and campaign finance.

Prior to joining Frost Brown Todd LLC in 1994, he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of ICH Corporation, an insurance holding company. The corporate communications and investor relations departments reported to him, as well as legal departments in Chicago, Dallas and Louisville.

Mr. Snyder is a Past President of both the Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Kentucky Law Journal (1970-71) and law clerk to Honorable M. C. Matthes, Chief Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit (1971-73).
