Susan L. Williams' practice is dedicated to major commercial and insurance coverage, fraud, and bad faith disputes. She has extensive courtroom experience in both federal and state courts throughout the United States. She has tried in excess of 75 jury and bench trials combined. Ms. Williams has also developed unique experiences in various forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Ms. Williams has experience representing various businesses, both domestic and international companies, from individual entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies. As a result, she has had substantial exposure to a large variety of claims.
Ms. Williams has tried cases throughout the U.S., including New York, New York; San Francisco, California; Portland, Oregon; Indianapolis, Indiana; Austin, Texas; and Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Williams’ work has resulted in significant published legal precedents. She has been an instructor at trial skills seminars and participated in trial demonstrations concerning various litigation-related topics.
Ms. Williams has been appointed by the Supreme Court of Indiana to serve on the “Committee on Character and Fitness” for new bar applicants who seek to practice in the State of Indiana. She has been appointed by the Federal Court of the Southern District of Indiana to serve on the committee to interview and recommend hiring and retention of the Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Indiana.
Ms. Williams is a Registered Mediator in Indiana and is available to mediate cases throughout the United States involving insurance fraud, bad faith, complex commercial/business, intellectual property/trade secrets, Lanham Act, Sherman Act, RICO, construction, contracts, tort, property, unfair trade practices, and employment/non-compete issues, under both state and federal law.
