Thomas L. Davis Receives Prestigious Honorable Paul H. Buchanan, Jr. Award of Excellence

Frost Brown Todd is pleased to announce Thomas L. Davis, a member with the Firm, has been awarded The Honorable Paul H. Buchanan, Jr. Award of Excellence. The Buchanan Award is given to an Indianapolis Bar Association (IBA) member whose attainments as a lawyer have been notable, whose contributions to the Association have been unique, and whose honorable service to the profession has extended over a significant period of time. This is the highest award bestowed by the IBA.

Davis' service includes the Indianapolis Bar Foundation Board of Directors and the IBA presidency. During his term as IBA president, Davis is credited with starting the annual Bench Bar Conference. He also served as IBA vice president and counsel to the board, and devoted time to the IBA's Young Lawyers Division and Litigation Section. Davis has served on the Indianapolis Legal Aid Society's Board of Directors for over a decade, and is currently its vice president. He is currently serving his second term on the Indiana Pro Bono Commission.
Davis concentrates his practice in personal injury defense and business litigation. In recent years, he has tried more than 50 jury trials in state and federal courts as well as representing clients in numerous mediations and settlements. He is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, American Bar Association and Defense Research Institute.
He received his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law and his B.A. from Indiana University.
