Winston E. Miller has a diverse background in civil litigation with experience in products liability and mass tort litigation, fire and explosion litigation, employment litigation, toxic tort litigation, and business litigation. A substantial portion of his practice relates to complex multi-party cases arising out of catastrophic losses and serial litigation. Mr. Miller has represented clients in state and federal courts located in at least 14 States plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. He has also represented clients on appellate matters before the Third, Fourth, Sixth, and Eleventh Federal Circuits, the U.S. Temporary Court of Appeals as well as the Kentucky Court of Appeals and the Kentucky Supreme Court. The Client Service Team that he chairs has been selected as "The Outstanding Law Firm of the Year" by a Fortune 100 Company. In the San Juan Dupont Plaza Hotel Fire litigation, the Firm served as lead counsel for 30 different major products manufacturers in one of the largest cases ever filed or tried.

Currently, Mr. Miller and other members of the firm represent various parties in litigation arising out of The Station Night Club Fire in West Warwick, Rhode Island. Mr. Miller and his colleagues serve as National Coordinating Counsel and National Counsel for manufacturers of various products, devices, drugs, appliances, and materials. Mr. Miller also represents the area’s largest employer in employment litigation and business litigation. Mr. Miller serves as Relationship Partner for key clients in which he coordinates and manages the respective Client Services Teams. Mr. Miller has been recognized as an outstanding litigation attorney in Chambers USA® America’s Leading Business Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America, The Best Lawyers in America®, Kentucky Superlawyers®, Martindale Hubbell®, Benchmark®, and Litigation Counsel of America™.

Mr. Miller has been lead counsel in a variety of business disputes resulting in litigation in the state courts, federal courts and commercial arbitrations. These cases have involved numerous issues arising from buy-sell agreements, stock and business valuation, asset purchase agreements, commercial leases, mineral leases, minority shareholder rights, fraud, tax and general breach of contract.

Before entering private practice Mr. Miller was a Trial Attorney with the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice in Washington D. C., where he represented the United States in civil matters in the Federal District and Appellate Courts across the country. While in the Justice Department, Mr. Miller was awarded a "Special Commendation" for his outstanding service.
