NKU presents 9th annual Cybersecurity Symposium on Oct. 21, features national and local experts
As security breaches become more common at all levels of society – from the presidential to the personal – Northern Kentucky University will convene national and local experts in the field for its ninth annual Cybersecurity Symposium.
NKU is designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/Cyber Defense by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. The event is hosted by Chase College of Law and the College of Informatics.
“Today we find ourselves increasingly surrounded by smart devices, and most of these devices are vulnerable to hacking and other intrusions. Protecting ourselves, and helping ensure a safe and ethically responsible digital environment, is of paramount importance,” said Kevin Kirby, dean of the College of Informatics.
