Frost Brown Todd's Louisville Litigation Practice Recognized as "Highly Recommended Local Litigation Firm"

Frost Brown Todd is pleased to announce the Louisville litigation practice was recently recognized among the “Highly Recommended Local Litigation Firms” for Kentucky in Benchmark Litigation’s 2011 Edition. Additionally, five Frost Brown Todd attorneys were mentioned within the edition: Theresa Canaday, Winston Miller, Sheryl Snyder, John Crockett, and Thomas O’Brien.

Canaday, Miller, and Snyder have all been recognized as “Local Litigation Stars” list for Kentucky. John Crockett was mentioned for his experience in products liability defense work and Thomas O’Brien was noted for his work in intellectual property in their review of Frost Brown Todd’s Kentucky litigation practice.

Theresa Canaday - Ms. Canaday has litigated complex business matters, including business torts, securities and unfair competition cases. She has represented several Fortune 500 corporations, as well as start up businesses and entrepreneurs. She has a wide-range of experience in trying cases in federal and state courts, as well as prosecuting and defending complex matters through arbitration. Ms. Canaday has tried many civil cases to judgment or verdict, including commercial contract, dealership and securities related cases.

Winston Miller - Mr. Miller has a diverse background in civil litigation with experience in products liability and mass tort litigation, fire and explosion litigation, employment litigation, toxic tort litigation, and business litigation. Mr. Miller has represented clients in state and federal courts located in at least 14 states plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. He has also represented clients on appellate matters before the Third, Fourth, Sixth, and Eleventh Federal Circuits, the U.S. Temporary Court of Appeals as well as the Kentucky Court of Appeals and the Kentucky Supreme Court.

Sheryl Snyder – Mr. Snyder represents businesses in complex litigation. He has litigated several significant antitrust, securities, RICO, contract, fraud, trademark, copyright and trade secrets cases for a variety of businesses. Mr. Snyder has made the appellate oral argument in more than 50 reported decisions, including the Oklahoma City bombing civil litigation. He has argued in the Third, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh, Tenth and Eleventh Circuits, and is a Life Member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference. Mr. Snyder is co-author (with two FBT colleagues) of the treatise Kentucky Appellate Practice (West).

John R. Crockett III- Mr. Crockett is Chairman of the Firm and is responsible for driving the firm's growth and strategic planning, merger opportunities, ancillary business ventures, and new business opportunities. Crockett's practice focuses primarily in the areas of products liability, mass disaster litigation, and commercial and construction litigation. Mr. Crockett is an experienced first chair trial lawyer, and deals regularly with experts in the fields of electrical, chemical and mechanical engineering, metallurgy, fire cause and origin, accident reconstruction, medical and accounting.

Thomas P. O’Brien III- Mr. O'Brien has represented individuals and corporations, large and small, in a variety of areas including patent, trademark and copyright infringement suits, trade secret actions, complex commercial litigation matters, and franchise litigation. More recently, Mr. O’Brien has led litigation teams in federal court proceedings relating to patent, trademark, and copyright infringement actions, as well as misappropriation of trade secrets and commercial litigation matters.
