Frost Brown Todd Partner, Donald L. Crain to Become Chairman of the Miami University Board of Trustees

Donald L. Crain a partner at Frost Brown Todd has been named the next Chairman of Miami University’s Board of Trustees.  A graduate of the university, Mr. Crain has served on the board for five years of his nine-year term, two as vice chair.  Mr. Crain will be replacing Chair John S. Christie of Columbus, OH.  Mr. Crain has also served as a longtime member and president of the Red and White Club, has taught at the School of Business and he was a 20-year member of the Miami University Middletown Citizens Advisory Board.  His trustee term will end February 28, 2015.

Mr. Crain is the practice group chair of the firm’s recently formalized governmental law practice group. He regularly represents numerous clients in a wide array of matters, with emphasis on Ohio township, municipal and school law, public and private sector labor and employment law, arbitrations, labor contract negotiations and administration and litigation. He has negotiated over 350 labor agreements for public employers since 1984, including over 200 in the area of public safety.  Mr. Crain has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, Ohio Super Lawyers and has an AV peer review rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
