Frost Brown Todd Receives 2011 Pillar Award for Community Service

January 6, 2011

Frost Brown Todd has been awarded the 2011 Award for Community Service. Presented by Medical Mutual and sponsored by CVS/Caremark, Duke Energy Center and Smart Business Magazine, the award honors businesses that have exceeded expectations in service to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community and have shown commitment to strengthening the bond between the for-profit and nonprofit worlds.

Frost Brown Todd places great importance on corporate social responsibility. The Cincinnati office and many of its employees are consistently recognized for commitment to service and an improved community. Each year the Frost Brown Todd Community Opportunities Committee chooses one Greater Cincinnati area charitable organization as the beneficiary of its annual project. In past years, the annual project has included a monetary donation and in some cases it also includes a service project. Frost Brown Todd’s efforts also span firm wide, as an annual supporter of the United Way and with attorneys recognized by the National Legal Services Corporation for providing pro bono work and other legal service for low income individuals and families. The Louisville and Lexington offices have both received We CARE awards for their community work.

This is the first year for the Pillar Award for Community Service program in the Cincinnati region. The programs in Cleveland and Columbus have a decade’s worth of tradition honoring businesses and individuals dedicated to making the state of Ohio a better place to live. Frost Brown Todd and other Pillar Award winners will be honored at a banquet on January 25, 2011 at the Duke Energy Convention Center.
