Former Assistant Attorney General Joins Frost Brown Todd

Frost Brown Todd is pleased to announce the arrival of former Ohio Assistant Attorney General, Yazan S. Ashrawi, to the firm’s Government Services practice group.  Ashrawi is based in the firm’s Columbus office where he is a part of the firm’s premier public sector legal team.

Prior to joining the firm, Ashrawi served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Health and Human Services Section as well as the Legal Initiatives Section.  In this position he represented the Ohio Department of Insurance for a variety of transactional, regulatory and litigation matters.  In addition to this, he was lead trial counsel for a number of the Ohio Attorney General's nuisance abatement actions where he was able to secure injunctions enjoining business and business owners from selling synthetic drugs.

During law school, Ashrawi worked for the Columbus Blue Jackets.  He was recognized by The Ohio State University with the CALI Award for Excellence: Top Grade in Sports Law, and served as the Vice President of Sporting Events for the Sports and Entertainment Law Association.

Ashrawi graduated from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2012 with his juris doctorate.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Business from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009.
