Former HealthSouth Associate General Counsel Jack Seal Joins Nashville Office

Frost Brown Todd is pleased to announce that Jack W. Seal, former Associate General Counsel at HealthSouth, has joined its Nashville office as a member of the firm.

Seal will focus his practice in the area of healthcare regulatory and transactional matters.  At HealthSouth, one of the nation’s largest inpatient rehabilitation providers, Seal represented the company on a wide range of matters, including regulatory, certificates of need, compliance with Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law, licensure and certification issues, joint ventures between healthcare providers, and acquisitions and development. Seal’s extensive experience with healthcare acquisitions and joint ventures includes transactions with health systems, acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, long term care facilities, home health and medical groups.  Prior to his time at HealthSouth, Seal practiced with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, where his practice focused on representing skilled nursing providers.

Seal earned his juris doctorate at the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1996 and furthered his education at the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program, earning his Master of Laws in 2000.  He is licensed to practice in Tennessee, Georgia and Colorado and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
