About Jan de Beer
Jan de Beer was born in South Africa and immigrated with his family to Lexington, Kentucky when he was a teenager.  As a winner of the prestigious Jefferson Scholarship, de Beer earned both his BA and JD from the University of Virginia.  De Beer has practiced at Frost Brown Todd for 11 years, and became partner in 2009.  Currently, he practices in the firm’s corporate department, where he advises clients on a variety of international regulation and trade matters.  De Beer has significant experience counseling clients on export licensing obligations under the Department of Commerce’s Export Administration Regulations and the Department of State’s International Traffic Arms Regulations.
