Tax Law Specialists to Present Free Seminar on New IRS Employment Audits

February 19, 2010

Employers get ready: IRS auditors are trained and ready to perform 6,000 employment tax audits, which the agency is slated to complete over the next three years. As part of a National Research Project, the audits will examine several areas such as employee/independent contractor status, executive or officer compensation, and fringe benefits.

To help you prepare, Frost Brown Todd is offering a complimentary seminar discussing how the audits will be conducted, what the IRS is looking for and how you can prepare in advance.

Seminar co-presenters are Robert C. Webb and Anthony Arcidiacono.  Mr. Webb is a tax attorney with Frost Brown Todd, who regularly represents clients in civil and criminal tax controversies before the IRS in U.S. Tax Court, and in U.S. District Court.  Mr. Arcidiacono is a member of Ernst & Young’s Tax Controversy and Risk Management Service and a 34-year IRS agent.

You’re invited to join Frost Brown Todd and Ernst & Young on Wednesday, March 10, from 8:30 to 10:00 AM at Frost Brown Todd, 400 W. Market St, 32nd Floor, Louisville.  Registration will begin at 7:30 AM.  To attend, RSVP to (502) 779-8645.  Or on Tuesday, March 9, from 8:30 to 10:00 AM at Frost Brown Todd, 2200 PNC Center, 201 East Fifth Street, Cincinnati.  Registration will begin at 7:30 AM.  To attend, RSVP to (513) 651-6146.
