State wants to develop 133 acres at Kentucky Expo Center

Kentucky state government is looking for development partners to transform 133 acres at the Kentucky Exposition Center into new commercial uses, such as hotels, restaurants, retail or entertainment outlets.

The plan also calls for demolition of the dilapidated Old Cardinal Stadium, according to a report by P3 Kentucky, an online resource on public-private partnerships that is produced by Louisville-based C2 Strategic Communications. The Cardinal Stadium demolition has been estimated to cost several million dollars.
