Zachary A. El-Sawaf
Zach is an associate in the firm’s Business Litigation practice group based in the Cincinnati office. He joined the firm in 2012 and has handled all manner of litigation, from misdemeanor traffic violations and small claims court matters to multistate federal litigation and appellate cases. While he primarily works in the corporate litigation area, he also has experience in white collar crime and insurance defense. In particular, Zach has a focus on personal injury and vehicular accident claims, having handled several trucking and automobile accidents and other types of personal injury matters. In addition, he has handled all manner of administrative appeals, including Medicare/Medicaid appeals, unemployment appeals, and handled complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau.
Since joining the firm, Zach has not only been active in the legal community, but has also become involved with several civic and charitable organizations. He currently sits on the Executive Board of Give Back Cincinnati, one of Cincinnati’s largest young professional philanthropic organizations, as well as the FBT Community Outreach Committee. In combining his interest in law and giving back, he also helped develop and sits on the steering committee of FBT Spark, a new FBT initiative aimed and providing low cost legal services to start up companies and entrepreneurs.
A Cincinnati native, Zach attended St. Xavier High school before earning his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Notre Dame. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Zach was active in law school, serving as an Articles Editor of the Law Review, a member of the editorial staff of Human Rights Quarterly, Class Representative on the Student Bar Association, volunteer with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, a member of the Student Court, and earned numerous academic distinctions. He has also been published in the area of evidence.
