Jane has been practicing data privacy law for close to 20 years and leads FBT’s Data Privacy & Information Security practice. She has a deep understanding of the challenges and benefits that technological developments present to the use of data in business and works with clients to achieve a practical balance between data security and data access, according to current data privacy laws, industry standards and corporate cultures. For clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small start-ups, Jane provides guidance on evaluating privacy risks, implementing a data governance program, and moving from mere compliance to the creation of a strategic privacy and information security program. A Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US), Jane is an expert in U.S. privacy laws and also works extensively with U.S.-based clients on all aspects of their EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ePrivacy Directive compliance obligations.
