Joe is a senior associate in the Real Estate practice group. He focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales, property management, leasing and construction contracting, and representing borrowers and lenders in a wide variety of financing transactions, such as workouts, acquisition financing, and real estate and asset based lending transactions. He also represents a number of corporate clients on general corporate and business law, including entity formation and the drafting and negotiation of governing organizational documents. In addition to conventional financing, Joe has specific experience in representing Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) lenders and borrowers in Fannie Mae multifamily financing transactions.

Joe received his J.D. cum laude from Boston University School of Law, where he was a member of the Review of Banking and Financial Law.  He received his B.B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati.  He is also a certified public accountant.

Representation of local logistics company in the acquisition and financing of its 120,000-square foot corporate headquarters using multiple levels of conventional financing and economic incentives.

Multiple representations of owners of commercial and multifamily properties in structuring, documenting and closing private equity offerings and negotiating joint venture agreements.

Representation of the purchaser of a mortgage loan servicing portfolio from a national banking association.

Representation of a regional mortgage broker in the sale and merger of its business with one of the largest commercial real estate mortgage banking firms in the U.S.

Representation of borrowers and lenders in Fannie Mae loan transactions involving market rate apartment properties, seniors housing and multifamily affordable housing in over 10 states.

Representation of borrowers and lenders in numerous financing projects related to the acquisition, construction and development of office, manufacturing and multifamily projects.
