Melissa L. Myers
Melissa is a Senior Associate in the firm's Dallas office and practices in the Regulated Business Practice Group in which she will focus her practice in health care law. Prior to joining Frost Brown Todd, she was Senior Associate Director of Policy Development at the American Hospital Association (AHA), where she advocated for hospital policy priorities to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Congress and other policy stakeholders. Her areas of focus included Medicare reimbursement audits and appeals; accountable care organizations and other value-based payment and delivery models; physician reimbursement; telehealth; and federal health care fraud and abuse laws. In that role, she also advised hospital leadership on the new Medicare Quality Payment Program for physicians and lead development of a comprehensive campaign to help hospitals and clinicians understand and implement MACRA requirements.
Prior to joining the AHA, Melissa practiced law in Columbus, Ohio with Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. Her practice's focus there was also in health care law. Melissa has also worked in other areas of health care, including with the Children's Hospital Association in Washington, DC and the Office of Ohio Health Plans, Ohio's Medicaid agency.
