Enforcement Delayed Until November 1 for Red Flag Rules Identity Theft Prevention Program

July 31, 2009

The Federal Trade Commission has announced that it will delay enforcement of the Red Flag Rules until November 1, 2009. The FTC hopes that this extended timeframe will ease the burden on health care providers and small businesses that are scrambling to develop and implement written Identity Theft Prevention Programs in compliance with the Red Flag Rules.
